Q:
What is a Third Party Delivery?
|
A:
TCS agents operate DIRECT OR INDIRECT to most of the destinations in the world than any other Express Carrier. However, there are some destinations where it is not operationally or commercially practical to offer a full service and these few destinations are generally on-forwarded by a preferred agent for delivery (alternative mode). That particular agent is called third party and thus the delivery is called third party delivery.

Q:
Does TCS deliver shipments within transit time internationally?
|
A:
Transit times are based upon average number of working days taken from pickup to delivery. It depends on the:
Flight connections
Pickup time
Nature of shipment
Forwarding area
Custom Clearance
For example if a document is booked for USA and the city is New York delivery is arranged within 3-4 working days, for secondary markets like Austin, Miami it takes 4-5 working days.
For non-document we must exclude the time which it consume in the clearance process that takes place at origin and also at destination.
TCS will make every reasonable effort to deliver the Shipment according to TCS regular delivery schedules, but its not guaranteed and not part of the contract.
There are other factors that affect international transit times, which are:
Holidays
Every country celebrates different holidays. If your shipment arrives on a holiday, TCS will not be able to arrange deliveries until recipient's address is opened.
Weekends
Transit times are calculated in business days, so you will need to account for weekend days. Note that weekends may differ by country. For example, many Muslim countries are open for business on Saturdays and Sundays, but are closed on Fridays.
